Chaumont Sub-Aqua Club is based at the Copley Centre, Stalybridge, in the Greater Manchester area.

We are affiliated with the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) http://www.bsac.com/

Here at Chaumont, we have approximately 55 members of all ages, many of whom attend the club on a Monday night at Copley swimming baths for a swim, to try out new diving gear or just have a chat with other members.

Training is paramount in diving, there are many safety issues to be taught and understood. At Chaumont Scuba Club, training is provided by experienced and qualified BSAC Instructors. Training sessions are held in the pool and at various dive sites in the North West of England to ensure that our divers are safe and competent.

Regular diving trips are arranged around the UK with favourite locations being North Wales, Farne Islands (Northumberland coast), Plymouth and Largs (Firth of Clyde) which are visited most years.
We also organise trips abroad, with the 'Red Sea' being a "mecca" for divers

We also have our own RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats); Valhalla - which can carry up to 10 divers with equipment and Aquila - which can carry up to 6 divers with equipment.

Being a member of Chaumont, we actively promote a social calendar where members and their families are encouraged to meet and socialise with the other club members.
